Zayn Malik Blasts 1D: No One Has Reached Out But Liam Payne — ‘Whatever’

       



Zayn Malik and the One Direction boys have lost touch, and he apparently does NOT care! Zayn has only talked to Liam Payne in year since he left the band, but when it comes to speaking with the other guys, he says ‘whatever.’ See his latest 1D slam right here!

With all of the not-so-nice things Zayn Malik has said about One Direction since he left the band in March 2015, it’s not super shocking to hear that they aren’t on the greatest terms. Despite chatting with Liam Payne here and there, Zayn, 23, revealed in a new interview that the rest of the group hasn’t bothered — and Zayn is so over trying to make amends with his former bandmates!

“I tried to have contact but nobody’s reached out,” Zayn told NME. “So… whatever.”

Whoa…after five years of making music and touring the world together, all Zayn can say about losing touch with 1D is “whatever”? Harsh, Zayn! But it does sound like he has made some effort on his end, so if the guys aren’t going to reciprocate, there’s not much he can do except move on. Directioners shouldn’t get too upset, though, because Zayn did suggest that he hasn’t completely lost his 1D ties. He and Liam are still buds!

“I’m still probably the closest to Liam,” Zayn added. “We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award [One Direction won the British Video Award for “Drag Me Down”]. It was a good chat. We haven’t met up in a long time so we want to meet up.”

Although it’s not too fun for fans to hear that the One Direction guys have cut Zayn off, at least he has one 1D boy on his side. And they may not keep in touch, but the guys did pay tribute to Zayn in their “History” video — which Zayn admitted was a “positive thing” — so maybe we don’t have to lose all hope that the boys will ever speak again!

hen again, Zayn is apparently done making the effort, so it’s up to the other guys. But Harry Styles isn’t so happy with how Zayn hasn’t credited 1D for making him famous, so he might be a hard sell. Oh, and remember that Twitter feud Zayn had with Louis Tomlinson last May? Okay, maybe it makes sense that Liam is the only one who has wanted to reach out to Zayn…

Despite the bad blood that Zayn has created with his former bandmates, though, hopefully staying in touch with Liam will eventually lead the other guys to reconnect with Zayn eventually. But if Zayn keeps up his “whatever” attitude, it seemingly won’t matter to him anyway. Time will only tell, we suppose!
