Is Zayn Malik’s face tattoo fake after all? Three days after Zayn showed off some new ink on the side of his head, the tat seemed to disappear in a shot on Gigi Hadid’s Snapchat. Check out the snap here and see if you think the tattoo was fake!
Zayn Malik is no stranger to crazy tattoos, so we weren’t too shocked to see the 23-year-old hottie debut a new tat that paid homage to his upcoming solo album, Mind Of Mine, on March 11. Although his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, 20, is probably a huge fan of Zayn’s tats, she may have just revealed that her man’s face ink wasn’t actually real! Zayn was on Gigi’s Snapchat, but his face tat sure wasn’t!
Gigi snapped a picture of Zayn on March 14, doodling all over the pic to create a silly Deadpool 2 poster. While Gigi’s artwork covered most of Zayn’s body, she left his head completely untouched — but his M.O.M tattoo was nowhere to be seen! Uhh…tattoos don’t just disappear within three days!
Considering how big Zayn’s face tattoo was, there’s no way Gigi just didn’t get the tat in her shot. The ink covered almost the entire temple area, and that was definitely featured in the snap. There just wasn’t anything there! It seems Zayn’s ink may have just been a temporary (yet daring) advertisement for his new album!
When Zayn shared an Instagram pic of his face tat, he only captioned the shot with his the title of his latest song, “Like I Would,” which didn’t really give us any hints as to whether the ink was real or not. Along with the “M.O.M” tattoo on his head, Zayn also debuted two other tats on his neck. Gigi’s drawings on her snap of Zayn completely covered his neck, so there’s no way to know if those tats are still around — but it definitely looks like the face one is gone!
If Gigi’s snap isn’t enough to confirm that Zayn’s face tattoo was fake, One Direction‘s former tattoo artist Kevin Paul even weighed in on Zayn’s new ink when the singer first shared his pic. “It looks fake and I don’t think he would be that silly,” Kevin wrote on Twitter, adding, “I would be shocked if it is [real].”
Even if Zayn’s face tat wasn’t real, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the “M.O.M” tattoo pop up again before his March 25 album release. If it is fake, though, it likely won’t be on his face next time! Who knows where will put his next tattoo (real or fake), but hopefully he won’t make us play the real or fake game anymore!
