No holding back! On the February 24 episode of Kocktails With Khloe, the hostess with the mostest, Khloe Kardashian, let her feelings be known on a variety of personal topics ranging from The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, sex toys and her future with Lamar Odom. Carmen Electra, Ross Mathews, singer JoJo and Barber Shop actress Jazsmin Lewis were on hand to weigh in, but this was clearly the Khloe show.
After tasting their Tokyo Soul cocktails, Khloe, Ross and Carmen discussed the hit miniseries, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Khloe quickly revealed that while she has it all on DVD, she hasn't seen it yet.
"I understand why it came back," she admitted. "I just feel bad, and I think I'm a little more sensitive to it because he was my Uncle O.J., like that's always what I called him, so just hearing things, or I might remember stories a little differently." Still, she insisted she "definitely" wanted to watch it — but noted that she had other concerns.
"I always was afraid of how they would play my dad [Robert Kardashian], but I hear David Schwimmer did a phenomenal job, and they play him really true to form, so I'm really grateful for that," the host continues. "So it's not that I won't watch it, but I just have some reservations about it."
That makes sense, considering the experiences she had as a child due to her late father's involvement in the case. "People would dress up as policemen and try to come to the house … thinking the Heisman trophy was at my dad's or certain things," she recalled. "They'd have a search warrant, but they weren't in fact policemen." Kris Jenner was worried enough about her children's safety that she didn't even let them go to Robert's house when O.J. was staying there.
"We weren't allowed there all the time because our phones were tapped, and bombs would be sent to the house," she explained. "My mom wouldn't let us go to my dad's because it was dangerous at the time. In hindsight, I respect that, but being a kid, I was like, 'Why won't you let me see my dad?'"
Khloe Confirmed She Hasn't Hooked Up With Any Women
After Ross revealed he once "went downtown" on a girl back in high school (oddly while watching The Lion King), the conversation turned toward same-sex hookups. Not surprisingly, Carmen shrugged and said, "I've dated a girl before. I'm not shy about it." She added, "I love men, you know, that's my thing, but yeah, I've gone there.
For her part, Khloe said she hasn't hooked up with a girl, but she's so "flirtatious" that "everyone thinks" that she has. Everyone agreed that it was more socially acceptable these days for women who considered themselves straight to dabble with other women than for men who considered themselves straight dabble with other men.
Asked if she wanted to get married again, Khloe didn't miss a beat. "I do, but technically I am still f--king married!" she laughed. "At this point, I don't know what tomorrow's going to bring — I've learned that — so even if I remarry the same person again, I don't know. That's not where I am right now, but I know I'm going get out of this relationship just to say, 'Okay, that was a bad little course. Let's cut that off.'"
She went on to speculate that sometimes a relationship "can just run its course," but admitted she wasn't sure if that was the case between her and estranged husband Lamar just yet. When Ross asked if she could simply hit control-alt-delete and start over, Khloe sighed, "I mean, that would be like the best dream."
But That Does Not Mean They're Back Together Now!
Later, Khloe circled back to Lamar, explaining, "When I first got married, it was like my biggest relationship, of course, and the best, and it was like, 'OK, I want to promote it and want everyone to know about this!' and then once our downfall started happening, I was like, 'I don't want to invite you guys into this' because, of course, it's something that you want to promote. So I had to learn, 'Wow, now this is a business. Even though it's my personal life, I still have to remember someone is making money off me at the end of the day, and it's still a business, and I have to abide by my contract.'"
Though she insisted she didn't have any regrets about their very public relationship, she said that she's now "more realistic." She also cited this as part of the reason she hasn't been as open about her more recent relationship(s). "I'm now understanding more, 'Okay, maybe let me hold closer to my heart my new relationship,'" she said. "Because what goes up must come down — but it will go back up again!"
She lamented how often people misconstrue her current relationship with Lamar. "It's very complicated. People think, 'Oh you guys are back together.' I'm like, 'Just because someone wants pure love for someone else or for someone to find love within their life again, why is that — that should be what a marriage is!' I genuinely want the best for someone."
Everyone at the "dinner party" praised Khloe's unyielding support of Lamar during his recovery, which she clearly appreciated. "That's how my dad, once Bruce [now Caitlyn Jenner], and my mom were," she explained. "They were all so close and united, and I loved that and respected that, and I think that their union, the three of them, taught me how to be in my relationships."
A Little S&M Never Hurt Anyone
On a lighter note, Khloe revealed, "I have a rhinestone whip by my bed that I love." But she insisted she hasn't whipped anyone with it. "I like it used on me," she said with a smile before recalling a time that she and Lamar wore eye masks and went on chat roulette. (Apparently, she and Kim Kardashian did that all the time together, which seems like a strange sisterly activity, but no one's here to judge.)
"Everyone's like, 'Hey you look like Kim Kardashian!' And we'd just go on to the next person," she remembered. "We're like, 'Show us your [bleep]!' And people will show it!"
Ross, meanwhile, charmingly admitted that he doesn't think he's good at sex. (He was alone in that camp.) "I need a talker," Khloe added as a final thought. "I think your partner needs to be vocal and communicate with you … I think that's how you know if you're good." Carmen chimed in to say that she likes to watch S&M porn by herself and also to reveal that she'd had a huge fear of public speaking in school. So, there was that.
Tell Us: Do you think Khloe and Lamar will get back together?
Kocktails With Khloe airs on FYI on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
