If there’s anyone Gigi Hadid, 20, is closer to than her bae, Zayn Malik, 23, it’s her bestie, Kendall Jenner, 20. After all, the saying is “sisters before misters” – and Gigi revealed how close she and her BFF almost WERE to being sisters! Really!

“So, it’s funny because, since we’re best friends, we want to be related,” Gigi said during Vanity Fair’s Conversations In The Backseat series. “So, my mom (Yolanda Foster, 52) married David (Foster, 66) who was married to Linda (Thompson), who is Bruce Jenner’s ex-wife – that’s how we’re related.”

“We’re related through divorced marriages,” Gigi said. Move over, Kevin Bacon, 57 — the new game is “Six Degrees Of Gigi Hadid.” Though, technically Kendall isn’t related to Linda because – as we all know – Kendall’s mom is Kris Jenner, 60. If Kendall were Linda’s daughter instead of Kris, she and Gigi would have been the most gorgeous stepsisters ever!

“You know, when in high school or middle school, you want your best friend to marry your sibling so you have the same last name?” said Gigi. “Well, that almost happened to me and Kendall but we didn’t have to ask.”

Gigi and Kendall don’t need to have the same last name (Kendall Hadid? Gigi Jenner?) to act like sisters. They already do all things sisters do: have epic sleepovers, make plans to go on double dates, compare boob sizes and eat McDonalds while topless together. You know, sister stuff. Gigi probably was the first person Kendall called when she reportedly began dating Los Angeles Lakers star Jordan Clarkson, 20.

Gigi even has her “sis’s” back when it comes to throwing down with the paparazzi. Kendall allegedly punched a photographer while she and Gigi left the L’Arc nightclub during Fashion Week, but Kendall said she just “pushed [the guy] away” after he invaded her “personal space.”
